Realme Q3s, scheduled to launch on October 19, will ship with Snapdragon 778G SoC, 144Hz adaptive refresh rate

It has been confirmed that the Realme Q3s will launch on October 19 alongside the Realme GT Neo 2T. Along with this, Realme presented several characteristics of the future smartphone. Realme Q3s will come with a variable refresh rate LCD up to 144Hz and HDR10 support. What’s more, the smartphone’s Snapdragon 778G SoC was confirmed by the Realme executive last month and it was also spotted on Geekbench. The TENAA listing hints at the Realme Q3 model number.

Across mail On the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo, Realme has confirmed that the Realme Q3s will launch on October 19 at 14:00 CST (11:30 IST) alongside the Realme GT Neo 2T. The launch date post also states that the Realme Q3 will be offered in two color options – blue and purple.

Another mail Realme’s Weibo mentions that the upcoming Realme Q3 will feature a variable refresh rate LCD. The smartphone will receive seven refresh rate options – 30 Hz, 48 Hz, 50 Hz, 60 Hz, 90 Hz, 120 Hz and 144 Hz. These variable refresh rates can be automatically matched with smartphone use, switching between smooth and power saving modes. The display will also feature a wide DCI-P3 color gamut for rich and vibrant images. Realme Q3s also gets HDR10 support with 4096 levels of precise dimming.

Realme Product Director Wang Wei Derek teased via a post on Weibo last month that the Realme Q3s will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. Derek also mentioned that this will be a significant smartphone update as the Realme Q3 launched in April is powered by a Snapdragon 750G SoC.

Last month, the Realme smartphone was spotted on the TENAA listing with model number RMX3461 / RMX3463. List – spotted by Playfuldroid – Many key smartphone specs leaked. According to the listing, the Realme smartphone will be equipped with a 6.59-inch Full-HD + (1080 x 2.412 pixels) LTPS display with a hole punch cutout. The processor is said to be paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage – expandable with a microSD card.

The listing indicates that the Realme smartphone will have a triple rear camera with a 48MP main sensor and two 2MP sensors. According to the listing, the RMX3461 smartphone will have a 4880mAh battery and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The RMX3461 is supposed to be the Realme Q3.

Earlier this week, the Realme RMX3461 was spotted on Geekbench and scored 791 points and 2,783 points in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. The smartphone runs Android 11 and has 8GB of RAM. The listing shows an eight-core ARM Qualcomm processor clocked at 1.80 GHz.
