Realme GT Neo 5 Confirmed to Support 240W Fast Charging and Launch in February

Realme has stated that the future fast charging technology will use a 240W mini GaN charging adapter to get the maximum power density of 2.34W/cm3. It will come with a low voltage charging solution supported by an ultra-high power conversion rate of 98.7%. In addition, the company will also introduce a 12A charging cable with 21AWG thick copper wires and one USB-C interface.

The company reported charging conversion efficiency as high as 98.5% by using a 100W three-way parallel charge pump circuit, 20V 12A input and 10V 24A output. In addition, 240W is said to have no effect on battery life. , because tests have shown that it is more than 80 percent even after 1600 full charge cycles from 0 to 100 percent. It also showed no security breaches at 85°C high temperature and 85 percent high humidity after a 21 day testing period, according to Realme.

According to a previous report, the phone will come in two variants with different batteries and fast charging configurations, such as a 5000mAh battery with 150W fast charging support and a 4600mAh battery with 240W fast charging support.
