Realme GT 3 with 240W fast charging support will be launched in February

The Realme GT Neo 5, powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 flagship chipset, was launched in China today. The smartphone will be available in two charging options supporting 150W and 240W fast charging. The phone is speculated to debut globally as the Realme GT 3 and have similar specs. There have been speculations about the Realme GT 3 and analysts have previously hinted at the packaging and specs of the device. Realme GT Neo 5 supports up to 240W fast charging, while Realme GT 3 supports the same charging speed.

The Chinese smartphone maker has confirmed the Realme GT 3 launch in February via poster on Twitter. The smartphone was previously speculated to debut as a global variant of the Realme GT Neo 5. If true, it could also feature similar specs such as a 1.5K flat AMOLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate.

The Realme GT 3 should also feature the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC as the Realme GT Neo 5, as well as a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support and Turbo RAW. An earlier leak hinted at the retail packaging of the GT 3 device, indicating support for 240W fast charging.

Realme’s latest smartphone comes with two charging options – 150W fast charge and 240W fast charge. The 240W Realme GT Neo 5 model has 16GB of RAM and 256GB or 1TB of storage. The GT Neo 5 150W comes with 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. In the 240W variant, Realme has included a 4600mAh battery as well as a 20V/12A adapter. The Realme GT Neo 5 150W variant comes with a 5000mAh battery and a 20V/8A adapter.

Realme GT Neo 5 features a 6.74-inch 10-bit AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. Available resolution is 2772 x 1240 pixels, with 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut coverage and up to 1500 Hz touch sampling rate.

The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and Adreno 730 GPU. It runs Android 13 with Realme 4.0 UI. Realme has included a rectangular RGB LED on the back that can be used as a signal indicator and is fully customizable for different applications. According to Realme, it will also glow red when the battery is less than 20 percent charged, a notification that can be managed via the Settings menu.

The phone’s triple rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front camera has a 16-megapixel Samsung S5K3P9 sensor and is housed in a hole-punch cutout.
