Realme GT 3: release date, price and specs rumors

Realme has announced that its next GT phone is coming to the global market, just over a year after the latest model – the Realme GT 2 – was released in China.
But what is known about Realme GT 3 at the moment? Here’s what we know from the official news, as well as the rumors that are currently circulating.
When is the Realme GT 3 release date?
The Realme GT 3 is confirmed to release “worldwide” this month – February 2023. The exact countries are not named, but the phones are usually sold in Europe and India.
Realme announced the news at the same time as the Realme GT Neo 5 is being released, which is exclusive to China.
Given the timing, there’s a good chance the company is postponing the official launch of MWC, where many other tech competitors will unveil their new smartphones. This is due to start in Barcelona on February 27, 2023.
This makes sense since the GT 2 and GT 2 Pro were unveiled globally at MWC last year and the phones will hit stores in March 2022.
How much will Realme GT 3 cost?
Realme has yet to reveal pricing for the Realme GT 3 and hasn’t indicated if a “Pro” version will be released alongside the standard one.
Previous Realme GT phones had the following starting prices (for the base model):
So it’s likely that the GT 3 will cost around $650/£500 for the regular version and $850/£700 for the GT 3 Pro – if it exists at all.
What features will we see in Realme GT 3?
Officially, the only thing we know about the Realme GT 3 is that it will offer 240W fast charging technology, making it one of the fastest charging phones on the market. It shares this award with the recently announced Realme GT Neo 5.
Realme has released a teaser for the launch of the phone, unfortunately without a hint of the device itself.
The real me
We assume this is the same SuperVOOC technology found in the Neo model, which uses two charging lines, each delivering 120W of power. The GT Neo 5 comes with a dual GaN (gallium nitride) mini charger with a dedicated 12A charging cable, so it’s likely the GT 3 will too.
Realme claims that it takes approximately nine and a half minutes to charge the GT Neo 5 from empty to full, and that just a 30-second charge will provide two hours of continuous calls. You can see the technology in action below.
91mobiles claims that the Realme GT 3 will be available with two charging speeds, 150W and 240W – the same offerings for the GT Neo 5. If true, that would mean a Pro version of the GT 3 will almost certainly hit the market. cards.
The Realme GT 3 may “borrow” some of the other features of the Realme GT Neo 5. It’s quite common for phone makers to sell slightly different models in different markets.
The GT Neo 5 has a 6.74-inch 144Hz OLED display and a 50MP main camera. It also has customizable RGB lighting and is available in three color options: purple, silver and black.
However, Realme has gone for a cleaner finish on its GT lineup compared to the bold GT Neo models of the past.
Last year, the Realme GT 2 Pro used a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip. Qualcomm announced the successor processor back in November 2022, so it’s possible that the alleged Realme GT 3 Pro will have Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
