The Realme C15 and Realme C12 are getting the stable version of the Realme UI 2.0 update based on Android 11. The implementation is expected to be done in batches and should receive all eligible devices shortly if no bugs are found. Realme has brought new features and improvements to its two smartphones in personalization, system, launcher, security and privacy, games and other categories. Realme C15 and Realme C12 launched in India in August last year with Android 10 based Realme UI ready.

[Realme] announced an update for Realme C15 (Review) and Realme C12 (Review) via couple of messages on the community forum. These two smartphones are getting a lot of new features and improvements with the update. Both smartphones are getting the Realme UI 2.0 update based on Android 11.

For personalization options, Realme C15 and Realme C12 users will be able to place third-party icons for apps on the home screen. Smartphones also get three new dark modes in the form of Enhanced, Medium and Gentle modes. In addition, the wallpaper and icons can also be adjusted in dark mode, and the display contrast can be adjusted according to the ambient light. System improvements include new weather animations and optimized vibration effects for text input and gameplay.

Users can now delete a folder or merge two or more folders together. Realme C15 and Realme C12 now also have the ability to toggle app lock from quick toggle settings. Smartphones now have the ability to send a low battery message indicating the location of the smartphone when the battery level is less than 15 percent. Realme has also added a more powerful SOS feature. In addition, there is also an optimized permission manager.

Realme has changed the way users can call Game Assistant and allows users to share their personal hotspot using a QR code. The Photos app on smartphones has an optimized photo editing function with “improved algorithms and additional markup effects and filters”. The Realme C15 and Realme C12 camcorder has received an inertial zoom function, as well as a level and grid function.

HeyTap Cloud can now back up photos, documents, system settings, WeChat data and more to easily transfer them to a new smartphone. Realme has also added a Sleep Capsule feature to help users plan downtime and sleep times.

Firmware version with update – RMX2180_11.C.05 for Realme C15 and RMX2189_11.C.05 for Realme C12. There is no mention of the size of the update. Users are advised to update their smartphone while it is connected to a reliable Wi-Fi connection and charged. The update will be rolled out in stages and will automatically reach the appropriate devices over the air. Interested users can check for updates by going to Settings> Software update to manually check for updates.
