Realme 9 series to launch with 4 models in Q1 2022 after delays due to global chip shortage

According to a new report, the Realme 9 series could include four models in India – Realme 9, Realme 9i, Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro + / Max. The upcoming smartphones are expected to arrive this year but have reportedly been delayed due to worldwide chip shortages. They are expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2022. According to past leaks, the Realme 9 series will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset and an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

In the Realme 9 series, the company is expected to add a new variant of Realme 9 Max / Pro + alongside Realme 9, Realme 9i and Realme 9 Pro. in accordance with tipster Mukul Sharma in collaboration with 91Mobiles. Earlier it was reported that the launch of new Realme smartphones would take place in October, but in September, Realme VP Madhav Sheth confirmed that plans to launch the Realme 9 series were postponed to 2022 due to the global semiconductor shortage.

Sharma says the Realme 9 series smartphones will be released last by February 2022, adding that it is unclear if all four devices – Realme 9, Realme 9i, Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro + / Max will be launched at the same time. … Sharma says Realme could launch four models in two separate events.

Realme followed the pattern of releasing two generations of its Number and Pro series every year, but the company only launched the Realme 8 series in 2021.

Realme has yet to announce these smartphones. This series is speculated to use the Snapdragon 870 SoC that launched earlier this year and support 5G connectivity. According to previous leaks, the Realme 9 phones will also feature 108MP cameras and AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate.
