Renders of what could be one of the most notable affordable phones of early 2023, the OnePlus Nord CE 3, have surfaced online.
The well-known @OnLeaks leader took to Twitter and 91mobiles website with clear 5K renderings of the OnePlus Nord CE 3. These appear to be taken from a prototype device.
The pictures show a different design direction of the available line. OnePlus appears to be moving away from the curves of previous models and moving towards a flat-edged iPhone-style design. It vaguely resembles the 2015 OnePlus X, and more recently, the region-limited OnePlus Nord N20.
The fingerprint sensor is hidden behind the power button on the right edge. There is a triple camera setup on the back with a 108MP sensor and a pair of 2MP sensors.
Elsewhere, OnLeaks provides some interesting key features. While the 6.7-inch 120Hz LCD would mark a step up in size and fluidity from the OnePlus Nord CE 2, it would be an unfortunate lift in terms of brightness. The latter had a 6.43-inch 90Hz OLED display.
OnePlus is apparently moving to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chip for the new phone, so it’s not going to set benchmarks. On the other hand, 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage sound generous, and the 5,000mAh battery claim represents a step up from the CE 2 accompanied by a 67W charger.
OnePlus Nord CE 3 will apparently launch in early 2023. We really liked the OnePlus Nord CE 2, so we’ll be following it with interest.
