OnePlus confirms there will be no 11 Pro or 11T

OnePlus has confirmed that there will be no OnePlus 11 Pro or 11T in 2023 later this year.
The Oppo-owned brand has announced its new flagship phone, the OnePlus 11, and fans of the brand will notice something is missing from the name. There is no “Pro” in the title.
OnePlus has released phones with plain numbers before, of course, up until the OnePlus 9 in 2021. However, it has always done so alongside its more premium Pro sibling.
However, if you’re procrastinating while waiting for the OnePlus 11 Pro’s later announcement, you’ll be waiting in vain. OnePlus reported Android control in simple terms, that there will not be such a super-flagship phone either this year or in the foreseeable future.
The full statement reads: “Starting with our 2023 line, we are streamlining our flagship portfolio in North America (and globally) by removing our Pro line. In our opinion, you don’t need to have a “Pro” name for a device that is already “Pro”.
The OnePlus 11 is indeed a very capable phone with many of the “Pro” features that were in last year’s OnePlus 10 Pro, along with a top-tier processor and faster wired charging. However, fans of wireless charging and IP68 certification may still disagree with this “already ‘Pro'” claim.
Another interesting point that the company has revealed is that there won’t even be a OnePlus 11T update by the end of the year. The company appears to be streamlining its flagship phone efforts and focusing on high value products.
