OnePlus 9RT Indian variant spotted on Geekbench with Snapdragon 888 processor and 12GB RAM ahead of launch

The OnePlus 9RT is due to launch in India on Friday, January 14th. The smartphone was launched in China in October 2021 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC under the hood. The Indian version of the OnePlus 9RT was previously listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. Just days before the official launch of the smartphone in India, the OnePlus 9RT India variant was spotted in a Geekbench entry listing a smartphone with 12GB of RAM and running Android 11.

Indian variant of OnePlus 9RT appears on Geekbench listing, as spotted by Gadgets 360 were able to independently verify the entry stating that the OnePlus 9RT is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC under the hood with a 1.80 GHz base clock and a 2.84 GHz peak clock speed. The smartphone also has 12GB of RAM, although previous reports suggested it could also be available in an 8GB RAM variant.

According to the Geekbench entry, the OnePlus 9RT has a single-core score of 888 points and a multi-core score of 3319 points. The listing also reveals that the smartphone runs Android 11, which suggests it may run with an older version of Android and the company’s OxygenOS 11 shell running on top. The OnePlus 9RT will launch alongside the OnePlus Buds Z2 in India on January 14 at 5 p.m. ET at a virtual launch event for the company’s Winter Edition.

As previously mentioned, the OnePlus 9RT will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB storage. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.62-inch AMOLED display Samsung E4 with Full HD + resolution (1080×2400 pixels) and 120Hz refresh rate. The OnePlus 9RT is expected to launch with Android 11 and run on top of the company’s OxygenOS 11.

The OnePlus 9RT is said to feature a triple rear camera with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, a 16MP secondary sensor and a 2MP macro camera. The smartphone is equipped with a 16-megapixel Sont IMX471 selfie camera located on the front of the phone. The smartphone is powered by a 4500mAh battery and supports 65W fast charging with Warp Charge 65T charging technology.
