OnePlus 9R receives OxygenOS update with November 2021 security patch

OnePlus 9R users now receive a new OxygenOS update that includes the November 2021 security patch. The update is being rolled out gradually, and it may take some time before all users receive it. The update will hit a small percentage of users first, with wider adoption starting in a few days. The firmware version of the latest OnePlus 9R update is OxygenOS As a reminder, the OnePlus 9R was unveiled alongside the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro in March this year.

The company entered community forums to announce the release of the OxygenOS update for OnePlus 9R devices. The changelog suggests that the update improves system stability and also fixes known issues. As mentioned, it also updates the security patch to November 2021. Users accepted Twitter to share screenshots of getting the update and it seems to be only 372MB in size.

OnePlus 9R users are advised to check for the update manually in their phone’s settings if they haven’t received the notification yet.

In terms of specs, the OnePlus 9R comes with a 6.5-inch Full-HD + (1080×2400 pixels) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

It comes with four rear cameras that include a 48MP main sensor. It is accompanied by a 16MP ultra wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens and a 2MP monochrome lens. At the front, the OnePlus 9R sports a 16MP Sony IMX471 sensor.

The OnePlus 9R packs a 4,500mAh battery with Warp Charge 65 fast charging. Connectivity options include Bluetooth v5.1, NFC, Wi-Fi Ax, USB Type-C and dual SIM support. The OnePlus 9R features an under-screen fingerprint sensor and dual stereo speakers.
