The front design of the OnePlus 10 Pro has been revealed in a new teaser ahead of its official launch. The smartphone has a curved-edge display similar to the OnePlus 9 Pro. The OnePlus 10 Pro is also expected to be the first phone to run ColorOS 12.1. While it’s still a week away from the launch of the new OnePlus phone, the Chinese company continues its tendency to create buzz around its next-generation flagship by announcing its features on social media.
To show the front design of OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus published by a picture on Weibo that gives us a clear view of the phone. It seems to have narrow bezels on the left and right and a curved design. The OnePlus 10 Pro also has a slimmer chin and a higher screen-to-body ratio compared to the OnePlus 9 Pro.
In addition, the OnePlus 10 Pro appears with a punch-hole display design where the selfie camera is located in the upper left corner. This is identical to last year’s models including the OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 8 Pro.
Some earlier teaser images demonstrated OnePlus 10 Pro from the back. The phone seems to have triple rear cameras in a square module.
Along with revealing the appearance of the OnePlus 10 Pro, the company has confirmed that the smartphone will run the custom Oppo ColorOS 12.1 operating system out of the box. The new skin will include Omoji, Oppo’s answer to Apple’s Animoji and Samsung’s AR Emoji. This feature essentially uses software algorithms to capture the user’s face and create their 3D avatar. It was introduced with ColorOS 12 last year.
It is also reported that the OnePlus 10 Pro has software optimizations to deliver a great user experience.
Notably, ColorOS 12.1 may be limited to the OnePlus 10 Pro in China as the phone is expected to have OxygenOS 12 in global markets.
OnePlus will launch the OnePlus 10 Pro in China on January 11, as the company confirmed last week.
