The Nubia Red Magic 7 is reported to have received China Compulsory Certification or 3C Certification. The news comes from Digital Chat Station, a trusted Weibo informant, who claims that Nubia’s upcoming flagship offering could break all fast charging records for a commercially available smartphone. According to the listing on the certification website, the informant says the Nubia Red Magic 7 will support fast charging up to 165W (20V / 8.25A). The predecessor of this smartphone, the Nubia Red Magic 6, only supported fast charging up to 66W.
The current smartphones with the fastest charging in the Nubia lineup are the Red Magic 6 Pro and Red Magic 6S Pro. Their Chinese versions provide fast charging up to 120W, but internationally their charging speed is limited to 66W. Hence, it’s safe to assume that if Nubia decides to launch this phone globally, the international version may again not offer those speeds.
According to mail According to Digital Chat Station, the Nubia Red Magic 7 will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 SoC. Depending on the official release date, this smartphone could be one of the first devices to use the new chipset. If previous reports It can be assumed that the Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro and Nubia Z40 will also be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
Nubia is expected to face competition from Xiaomi for charging speeds. In May of this year, Xiaomi introduced its 200W HyperCharge fast charging technology. Chinese tech giants say HyperCharge can fully charge a 4,000mAh battery in 8 minutes. However, Xiaomi is expected to launch this technology into mass production in June 2022. So there is a chance that at launch, the Nubia Red Magic 7 could be the fastest charging smartphone available on the market. Some other fast charging technologies that currently exist include 125W Flash Charge from Oppo and 125W UltraDART from Realme.
