Nothing Phone release date announced (1)

The Nothing (1) phone will be announced at a presentation on July 12, 2022.

The British consumer technology brand has just announced that it will be “telling all about the second device in its ecosystem” this day at 4pm BST at a special event in London.

The event will be broadcast live on Web site. You can register now to access the stream.

Also nothing is going to make “more interesting announcements” at the event. Perhaps this is a continuation of the company’s first device, Nothing Ear (1)? After all, it’s been a year since this impressive set of true wireless earbuds was released.

It’s already known that Nothing Phone (1) will feature the brand’s signature transparent design, with CEO and co-founder Carl Pei (formerly of OnePlus) confirming that he wanted to showcase more interesting components that customers normally never see, including the phone. . camera and coil for wireless charging.

We’ve also heard that the phone will cost somewhere in the region of €500, which means it won’t be a flagship phone. It will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip, but it is not yet known which one.

The element we know the most about is Nothing OS, which is a custom user interface that runs on top of the Android Nothing Phone OS (1). Expect a stripped down, malware-free version of Google’s operating system with a bold monochrome aesthetic.

We can also expect 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates, which is pretty good.
