Nothing Phone 1 preview price leaked, design teased ahead of launch

Nothing Phone 1 can be made available for pre-booking in India with a symbolic amount of Rs. 2000, according to information provided by the informant. The British brand, led by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, is set to launch its first smartphone on July 12, and the company teased the color and design of the phone’s back on Flipkart ahead of its debut. It is also reported that the production of the upcoming Nothing Phone 1 began in India a month before it is launched in the country.
Whistleblower Mukul Sharma revealed the details of the upcoming Nothing Phone 1, stating that buyers will be able to pre-book the phone on Flipkart by paying a token amount of Rs. 2000. According to the informant, the price of the smartphone will be adjusted during checkout on July 12. The listing also suggests that buyers will be able to choose from several memory options. Gadgets 360 were able to confirm listing titled “Nothing Pass” on the e-commerce website, which is the same as the one shared by Sharma, but the “Redemption Procedure” section that previously revealed the steps to complete the purchase has apparently been removed and the price set at Rs. 99999.

Tipster also claims that the production of Nothing Phone 1 began in Tamil Nadu, a month before the confirmation of the launch of the smartphone in India. Meanwhile, a purported charger for the upcoming smartphone was recently spotted on the TÜV SÜD PSB Singapore certification website, indicating support for 45W fast charging. Nothing yet officially reveals the detailed specifications of the smartphone.
Ahead of the launch of Nothing Phone 1 on July 12, Flipkart added a banner to its website mocking a smartphone, linking it to a phone microsite. The image seen by Sharma shows two birds sitting on a white smartphone. However, it’s worth noting that it’s currently unclear if the phone in the banner is the upcoming smartphone itself. Although most of the smartphone is not visible in the image, it is assumed that the phone’s rear camera will be located in the upper left corner. The banner shows the smartphone in white, similar to the Nothing Ear 1 true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds that was released in July 2021, while the black color variant debuted in December.
Nothing Phone (1) seems to draw inspiration from the design philosophy of Ear (1). If not a completely transparent design, then at least it might not be a very conventional back design.
While the color is more or less confirmed, maybe in the future it will be black? ????#NothingPhone1 pic.twitter.com/ObgZXa4t2P— Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) June 12, 2022
According to the company, Nothing Phone 1 runs on Android-based Nothing OS. Under the hood, the phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. According to previous reports, it may have a 6.55-inch OLED display. The company has already confirmed that its first phone, Nothing Phone 1, will be unveiled in London on July 12 at a virtual event and will be available for purchase in India via Flipkart.
