Motorola to launch two Snapdragon flagship phones in December

Motorola is reported to launch two flagship phones in December. One is reportedly powered by the as-yet-to-be-announced Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen 8 flagship processor, while the other is reportedly powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC. The latter was announced earlier this year and is an overclocked variant of the Snapdragon 888 SoC. Chen Jin, CEO of Lenovo Mobile Business Group, has already confirmed the appearance of the Motorola Edge X earlier this month. This model is considered a gaming smartphone.

Chinese Tipster Digital Chat Station received Weibo To leak, Motorola will announce two flagships in November. While one of them will most likely be the Motorola Edge X, the name of the other smartphone is unknown. Tipster claims that one will be powered by the flagship Snapdragon Gen 8 processor and the other by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC. It is likely that the Motorola Edge X could be powered by the as-yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon Gen 8 flagship processor. It was previously rumored to be the Snapdragon 898, but now reports claim it could be called the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

Tipster also claims that the launch of the flagship with the Snapdragon 888+ processor could be lower than that of traditional flagships, making it an attractive proposition. The name of this flagship hasn’t been leaked, but assuming it could also be part of the Motorola Edge series. The latest Edge series includes Motorola Edge S Pro and Motorola Edge Lite.

Apart from the Motorola Edge X, renders and specs of another flagship phone, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, have been leaked recently, hinting at its imminent launch. The phone features a punch-hole display and triple rear cameras. Reports suggest the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra and Motorola Edge X are the same phones, and the phone, whatever it is called, is likely to have a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The triple camera will likely sport a 50MP primary sensor. The phone may have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging.
