Motorola Moto Edge 30 Ultra Design, specs spotted in leaked video ahead of September 8th launch

Design renders and specifications of the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra have leaked online before the phone’s launch. The company confirmed the release of three new smartphones in India on September 8. A teaser uploaded on Motorola India’s official Twitter account revealed that the phones will be part of the company’s Edge series. One of the three smartphones will include the Moto Edge 30 Ultra, which will be the company’s top offering for 2022. The device is said to be an upgraded version of the Moto X30 Pro introduced last month in China. A new video uploaded by leaker Evan Blass shows off the phone’s design and specs ahead of its debut this week.

The leaked teaser video seems to confirm the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra’s key specs while revealing its design. According to the video, the Moto Edge 30 Ultra will feature a 200MP main camera sensor. The flagship smartphone will also feature Qualcomm’s most powerful and efficient 4nm chipset.

A leaked teaser video confirms that the Moto Edge 30 Ultra will be rebranded as the Moto X30 Pro. It will have a glass back with a rectangular cutout for the triple camera. The dual-stage camera module will feature a 200MP main camera sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support.

The video also reveals that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The flagship mobile chipset from Qualcomm has a peak clock speed of 3.2GHz and up to 10% CPU and GPU improvements over the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. According to the video, it will support 125W fast charging. Turbo Power fast charging technology is claimed to provide up to 12 hours of battery life on a seven-minute charge.

The Moto Edge 30 Ultra will also feature a curved pOLED display with a notch at the top center. For enhanced multimedia experience, the phone will offer support for Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra Specifications (Expected)

The Edge 30 Ultra is expected to use the same hardware as the Moto X30 Pro. This means the device will feature a 6.73-inch Full HD+ pOLED display. The screen will support a 144Hz refresh rate and come with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, the Edge 30 Ultra will have a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It is expected to have up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

As for the camera, the Edge 30 Ultra will feature a triple camera on the back. The Samsung HP1’s 200-megapixel sensor will be accompanied by a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. For selfies, a 60-megapixel front camera will be located in the cutout with a hole punch.

The Edge 30 Ultra will also come with a 4,500mAh battery. It will support 125W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Motorola said the Moto X30 Pro will charge up to 50 percent in seven minutes using Turbo Power charging technology. It is also stated that it charges from zero to 100 percent in 19 minutes. Finally, the Edge 30 Ultra will run MyUX based on Android 12 out of the box.
