Motorola may be the first to use Samsung’s 200-megapixel camera sensor

Motorola may be the first smartphone maker to use Samsung’s new 200MP super-sensor.

The Samsung ISOCELL HP1 was unveiled in early September and boasts the highest pixel count on a mobile camera.

You may be surprised to learn that Samsung itself is rarely the first to use its own new camera sensors. Xiaomi traditionally gets there before everyone else.

However, this could all change by 2022. According to the established leader Ice universeMotorola is unlikely to be an early adopter of the 200MP ISOCELL HP1.

As you can see from the comments, Xiaomi has no intention of using Samsung’s 200MP sensor until the second half of 2022, while Samsung may not roll out its own technology until 2023. in 2022

This is a surprise considering Motorola hasn’t seemed to want to release a true flagship phone lately. The brand knows its budget dominance better with the Moto G series, and even more premium projects from 2021 like the Motorola Edge 20 Pro (pictured) are avoiding the flagship price point.

There are signs that this is about to change, with the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra getting impressive specs like the Snapdragon 898 chip.

Interestingly, though, this phone also comes with a pair of 50MP camera sensors, so it’s likely the wrong phone is being discussed here. Does Motorola have another flagship phone up its sleeve?
