Moto G82 launches with ‘most advanced display ever’ in series

Motorola just released the Moto G82 and the brand claims its display is better than any other Moto G phone before.

Motorola just unveiled the Moto G82 5G, which claims to have “the most advanced display a Moto G has ever had” – and for good reason.

The 6.6-inch OLED panel should offer a higher level of contrast than its LCD counterparts, and Full HD+ resolution is as crisp as you’d expect given the price. However, two key features in particular make it special to the Moto G line; for one thing, it has a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, which should make it particularly smooth as it means the display refreshes a hundred and twenty times a second. In addition, it also has 10-bit color depth, which means that the display supports over 1 billion colors.

Apart from this key feature, there are many other features that deserve your attention. Once again, Motorola has packed a beefy 5000mAh battery into the device, and what’s more, it supports 30W fast charging, so it can be recharged relatively quickly.

The camera system consists of a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel 2-in-1 camera with an ultra-wide lens and a depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. There is a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front, and in Dual Capture mode, you can record from the front and rear cameras at the same time.

Overall, the phone measures 160.9 x 74.5 x 7.99mm and weighs just 173g, so it’s quite light. It has an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance and will be available in two colors: meteorite gray and lily white.

The 5G capability is powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, which is built on a 6nm process and is supported by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB with a Micro SD card. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack on board, as well as Bluetooth 5.1 and dual-band Wi-Fi.

In the UK, the Moto G82 5G will be available for a suggested price of £289.99 from retailers including Currys, Amazon, John Lewis and Argos, as well as direct from Motorola. The phone will also be available in select European markets for a suggested retail price of €329.99.
