Moto G100 receives stable Android 12 update starting in Brazil: report

The Moto G100 is reportedly receiving the Android 12 stable update. The update has reportedly already begun rolling out in Brazil. The latest update will bring to the Moto G100 all the new features such as the Material You design aesthetic, wallpaper-based themes, and updated widgets that Google introduced with Android 12. Along with the update, the smartphone will also receive March 2022 Android security patches. Motorola has yet to share official release information. The Moto G100 was launched last March with Android 11.

According to report From XDA Developers, the Moto G100 with model number XT2125-4-DS is currently receiving the Android 12 update starting in Brazil. The latest update will bring all the new features of Android 12 to the smartphone. This includes features such as the aesthetic design of the material you create, wallpaper-based themes, updated widgets, scrollable screenshots, improved microphone and camera access controls, and a panel privacy among other features.

There was no official information about the update from Motorola. Moto G100 users can manually check if they have received the update by going to the software updates section in the device settings. According to the report, the update contains firmware version S1RT32.41-20-16 and weighs about 1.5 GB.

Motorola launched the Moto G100 in March 2021 with Android 11. This is one of the most promising smartphones of 2021 that never made it to India.

The smartphone has a hybrid slot for two SIM cards (Nano + Nano/microSD). It features a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ (1080×2520 pixels) LCD display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10 and an 85 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The storage on the Moto G100 can be expanded using a hybrid microSD card slot (up to 1TB).

The Moto G100’s quad rear camera includes a 64MP main sensor, a 16MP wide-angle sensor, another 2MP telephoto lens, and the latest time-of-flight sensor. On the front, the Moto G100 has a 16MP selfie camera and an 8MP secondary sensor.

The Moto G100 is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 20W TurboPower charging. Connectivity options include 5G, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth v5.1, Wi-Fi 6, GPS, and more.
