Moto Edge 40 Pro price, renders and specs leaked ahead of launch; May debuts as rebranded Moto X40

The Moto Edge 40 Pro could go on sale shortly after its renders, specs and pricing details go online. The latest Edge series device from the Chinese smartphone brand may be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. It is shown with a center-aligned hole-punch cutout and a 50-megapixel triple camera on the back. The Moto Edge 40 Pro is said to debut as an updated version of the Moto X40. They will also have identical characteristics. It is expected to debut during Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2023 next month.
Rendering, pricing and specs of the Moto Edge 40 Pro shared by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore (@Sudhanshu1414) in cooperation with appeals. Renders show the phone in black and blue, and the display shows a center-aligned hole-punch cutout that houses the selfie camera. It seems to have an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Motorola smartphone has a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor and an LED flash. In addition, the power and volume buttons are located on the left edge of the phone.
According to the leak, the Moto Edge 40 Pro will cost €850 (roughly Rs. 75,300) for the only model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The report claims that the Moto Edge 40 Pro will arrive as an updated version of the Moto X40. If this rumor is of any significance, then the characteristics of the future model may be similar to those of the Moto X40. The Moto X40 was launched in the Chinese market last December with a starting price of 3,399 yuan (roughly Rs. 41,000) for the 8GB + 128GB model.
Moto Edge 40 Pro Specifications (Expected)
The Moto Edge 40 Pro is said to run on Android 13 and features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ 3D curved OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and DC dimming support. It can be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
In terms of optics, there could be a triple rear camera setup including a 50MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support, a 50MP wide-angle lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens. In addition, there may be a 60-megapixel selfie camera on the front. It is expected to pack a 4,600mAh battery with support for 125W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.
