MediaTek has teased the arrival of MediaTek’s new flagship Dimensity chipset, which is believed to be the Dimensity 9200 SoC. It is said to be paired with an Immortalis-G715 GPU which offers hardware ray tracing. The results of the GFXBench graphics test for this chipset also appear to have surfaced. A reliable whistleblower claims that the performance of the Dimensity 9200 SoC GPU outperforms the Apple A16 Bionic chip featured in the latest iPhone 14 series. A previous report claims that the upcoming MediaTek chipset outperforms the rumored Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC in the AnTuTu performance test.
MediaTek has confirmed that its next flagship chipset – presumably the Dimensity 9200 SoC – will be disclosed November 8 at 2:30 pm CST / 12:00 pm EST. The company did not go into any other details of the upcoming event.

Tipster claims that the GFXBench Dimensity 9200 SoC performance is equivalent to that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. However, it is said to outperform the Apple A16 Bionic chip in the GPU area.
A recent report mentions that the Dimensity 9200 SoC could have a combination of Cortex-X3 and Cortex-A715 cores paired with an Immortalis-G715 GPU. This chipset is said to offer improved image performance. In addition, this chipset is claimed to outperform the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC in the AnTuTu performance test. Rumor has it that the Vivo X90 series could be one of the first smartphones to feature this next generation chipset from MediaTek.
