The iPhone 13 launch event is set for September 14th. Ahead of that, Apple has begun teasing iOS 15 features with notifications via the Tips app. Clicking on this notification gives users a quick overview of all the main features of iOS 15. These include focus mode, live text in photos, voice isolation, new Shared With You in apps, Safari tab groups, notification summaries, system-wide translation, pedestrian AR-based routes in Apple Maps and more.
Ahead of the September 14 event, the Tips app is sending notifications to all iPhone users with a teaser of all upcoming iOS 15 features. This was the first. spotted from MacRumors and has probably landed on all iPhones that have the Tips app preinstalled.
The notification reportedly says “Check out what’s coming in iOS 15.” Learn about new features to help you stay connected and focused. ” The notification gives the user a short description of all the features coming in the next iOS update. The iOS 15 preview has also appeared in the Collections section of the Tips app, which Gadgets 360 can independently test. It sits on top of a similar iOS 14 preview that could have been released last year.
The upcoming iOS 15 Voice Isolation feature removes background noise during FaceTime and ensures your voice is loud and clear. The upcoming Shared with You section in Apps will let you find photos, music, websites, and other content that others are sending you. Focus Mode will let you turn off notifications you don’t need when you work, exercise, and more. The AR-based street guidance feature in Apple Maps will only be available in select cities.
If we look at the iOS 14 release schedule, we can assume that iOS 15 could be released a day after the iPhone event, which is September 15th. The iPhone 13 lineup is expected to be unveiled at the event alongside the Apple Watch Series 7.
