IQoo Z5 Launch Date Set For September 23rd Confirmed By Snapdragon 778G

The iQoo Z5 launch date is set for September 23, the company announced on Weibo. The new iQoo phone is speculated to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. Alongside the iQoo Z5, the Vivo sub-brand is rumored to be using the iQoo Z5 Pro and iQoo Z5x as its two new smartphones. All three iQoo Z-series phones are expected to have 5G connectivity and faster charging. The iQoo Z5 Pro series is said to have a curved display.

On Wednesday, iQoo posted teaser image on Weibo to announce the launch date of the iQoo Z5. The company will launch at 14:30 CST Asia (12pm IST) in China on September 23. However, it is unclear if the iQoo Z5 will be the only model to arrive at launch, or if the company will introduce rumors as well. iQoo Z5 Pro and iQoo Z5x are nearby.

iQoo released highlighted image to show that the phone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G as well as UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM. Other details of the iQoo Z5 may be similar to the iQoo Z5 Pro, which is rumored to have a 120Hz display and at least 8GB of RAM. The Pro variant recently appeared on the Google Play console under model number V2148A. The Play Console listing said the phone could have a Full-HD + display (1080×2,400 pixels) and run Android 11. The phone also offered the Snapdragon 778G SoC.

The iQoo Z5 Pro is speculated to have dual stereo speakers, a side fingerprint sensor and a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging. In addition, the iQoo Z5 Pro is speculated to have a triple rear camera with a 64MP primary sensor.
