iQoo 8 may be unveiled on Aug 4th, with Snapdragon 888 Plus and 2K display expected


iQoo 8 will be unveiled on August 4th, according to the latest leaks and teaser video from the company’s CEO. The iQoo 7 series was launched in China back in January, followed by India in April. This was the flagship offering and the iQoo 8 is expected to be the same. Some of its specs have also been changed and the phone is said to be powered by the recently announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC. At the moment, iQoo has not confirmed that it will release a new phone next month.

Then, Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated) also published Weibo states that the iQoo 8 has model number V2141A and will have a 1440×3200 pixel display with a high refresh rate. The inspector added that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC and will have 12GB of RAM with 4GB of expanded storage. The phone could also have 256GB of storage and run OriginOS 1.0 based on Android 11.

More information on the alleged iQoo 8 is expected to be revealed soon.

IQoo 7 was launched in India in April alongside the iQoo 7 Legend. The IQoo 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 870 SoC, while the Legend variant is powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC. iQoo 7 starts at Rs. 31,990 and the iQoo 7 Legend starts at Rs. 39 990. The company can follow the same pattern with the iQoo 8.
