iPhone 14 Series Design Proposed Due to Panel Leak, Display Differences Revealed

Rumors about the iPhone 14 series have been around for quite some time. It is expected that the line will include four models – iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The Cupertino giant has not yet confirmed the development of these models, but before that, an image showing the front panels of the iPhone 14 series has appeared online. The leaked render shows the difference in the sizes of future iPhone models and suggests their location in front and with face identification. Both the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are shown with a pill-shaped punch-hole display, replacing the notch on previous generations of iPhones. They are also said to have an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.

Tipster Saran (@SaranByte) tweeted A leaked photo from Weibo showing the front bezels of the entire alleged iPhone 14 series. The image shows the pill-shaped hole-punch cutout on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. If this turns out to be true, it would be a design change from the notch in the display of previous iPhone generations. The display cutout will house the face ID sensor and the selfie camera.

In the leaked render, the alleged iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are seen with the same notch design we saw on the iPhone 13 series. Based on the bezel photo, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max could have thinner bezels and a taller build. They are also said to have a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, which is slightly lower than the 20:9 aspect ratio of current iPhone models.

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone Pro Max are expected to feature the next-generation Apple A16 Bionic chip. Regular iPhone 14 models are expected to feature the current-generation A15 Bionic chips used in the iPhone 13 series and the new iPhone SE (2022).

According to past leaks, the iPhone 14 will feature a 6.06-inch flexible OLED screen, while the iPhone 14 Pro will feature a 6.06-inch LTPO flexible OLED screen. The iPhone 14 Max is said to have a 6.68-inch flexible OLED screen, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max could have a 6.68-inch LTPO OLED screen.
