iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users shake the camera and make noises in third-party apps

Users of Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro models are taking to Reddit to claim that the rear camera on their new smartphones is shaking and noisy. Users claim that the problem is limited to third-party apps and there is no problem with Apple’s own camera app. Apple has not yet resolved this issue. Some users believe that this might be a software-related issue that can be fixed with an OTA update. The majority of Reddit users claimed that the problem is most common on Instagram and Snapchat.

User on Reddit complained that the rear camera on their iPhone 14 Pro Max was “shaking uncontrollably” when using third-party apps like Snapchat and Instagram. Several Another Reddit users have published on the r/iPhone subreddit highlighting the same problem with the iPhone 14 Pro. Since this issue only occurs when using third-party apps, users of several iPhone 14 Pro models believe that this is a software-related issue that can potentially be fixed with an OTA update. User said that third-party apps may not have been optimized for the recently released iOS 16 on iPhone 14 Pro models. The YouTube video embedded below shows the camera rig shaking and making noise, which can come from the camera’s moving sensor.

According to some Reddit users, iPhone 14 Pro camera issues could also be due to Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). This feature helps to stabilize the video when the user’s hand is shaking. Apple has not yet resolved this issue. If this is a hardware related issue, then users of the iPhone 14 Pro models may need to return their newly purchased phones in order to fix it. Gadgets 360 has reached out to Apple for comment and will update this story with the company’s response.

Apple recently fixed an issue with the iPhone 14 series. According to the company, users may not receive iMessage text messages and FaceTime calls.
