iOS 15.1.1 released for iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 series; Brings Call Dropping Improvements

Apple has released an iOS 15.1.1 update for iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 users. The release note states that the update improves call drop performance on the aforementioned iPhones. As such, this update only applies to iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Apple notes on its support page that other iPhones are not eligible for this update. This is a small update only aimed at improving call quality on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models.

IPhone 13 and iPhone 12 series users receive iOS 15.1.1 update via OTA update. The update has arrived on one of our iPhones 13. The update is 1.44 GB in size. All users are advised to update the software to the latest version using a reliable Wi-Fi connection. Also, make sure you make a backup before starting the installation process.

As mentioned, the release notes for the latest iOS 15.1.1 update are very short. It simply states that the update “improves the drop rate of calls on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models.” For those who have not yet received the update, you can manually check it by going to Settings> General> Software Update and then clicking Download and Install at the bottom of the page.

It is also reported that Apple is working on the next iOS 15.2 update targeting all compatible iPhone users. The giant from Cupertino lately released the third beta of iOS 15.2 for developers for testing purposes. The update allows Apple Music users to search playlists. It also added a new macro toggle to the camera settings, and Apple even cleared up the wording of iCloud Private Relay in iOS 15.2 beta 3.
