Huawei P50E With Snapdragon 778G 4G SoC, Triple Rear Cameras: Price, Specs

The Huawei P50E was launched in China on Wednesday as the latest offering in the company’s P50 series. The new smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 778G 4G processor and offers up to 256GB of internal storage. The Huawei P50E features a 90Hz refresh rate display and a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor. The new Huawei phone is also available in four different color options. The Huawei P50E packs a 4100mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging.

The new Huawei P50E smartphone is priced at CNY 4,088 (roughly Rs. 48,900) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The top model with 8GB RAM + 256GB storage costs 4,488 Yuan (roughly Rs. 53,600). The Huawei P50E comes in Cocoa Gold in addition to Galaxy Blue, Obsidian Black and Snow White. Huawei’s latest phone is up for sale pre-orders now. It will go on sale from March 24th.

Huawei P50E dual-SIM (Nano) runs HarmonyOS 2 and features a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ (1224 x 2700 pixels) OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate and 458ppi pixel density per inch The display has a cutout for the selfie camera, and the display offers P3 wide color gamut. The Huawei P50E is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 778G 4G SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

In terms of optics, the Huawei P50E features a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP wide-angle sensor with f/1.8 aperture. The camera unit also includes a 13-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 12-megapixel f/3.4 telephoto lens with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The rear camera supports portrait mode, panorama, time lapse, micro video, high resolution mode, ultra wide angle mode, super night scene, and slow motion, among others. For selfies, Huawei provided a 13-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera also supports features such as selfie time-lapse, smart wide-angle switching, portrait mode, panorama mode, time-lapse photography, synced photos, and more. The phone has 128 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 256 GB using a Nano memory card.

Connectivity options on the Huawei P50E include Bluetooth v5.2, GPS, GLONASS, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, USB Type-C, and NFC. There is also a fingerprint sensor on board for authentication. Other onboard sensors include a gravity sensor, a Hall sensor, a gyroscope, a compass, an ambient light sensor, a proximity sensor, a laser camera focus sensor, and a color temperature sensor.

The Huawei P50E packs a 4100mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging. In addition, the phone has an IP68 water and dust resistance rating. It measures 156.5×73.8×7.92mm and weighs about 181 grams.
