Huawei Mate Xs 2 foldable smartphone unveiled in China. Huawei Mate Xs 2 is the successor to Huawei Mate Xs, released back in February 2020. It features a 7.8-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and 4G connectivity. It gets a triple rear camera equipped with a 50-megapixel main sensor. It also gets support for Huawei M-Pen 2s. Along with the Huawei Mate Xs 2, the company also launched the Huawei MatePad SE budget tablet.

The Huawei Mate Xs 2 starts at CNY 9,999 (roughly Rs. 1,15,850) for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The 8GB RAM + 512GB storage variant is priced at CNY 11,499 (roughly Rs. 1,33,200). There is a collector’s edition of the Huawei Mate Xs 2 with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The Huawei Mate Xs 2 Dual SIM (Nano) runs HarmonyOS 2. The screen size of the smartphone is 7.8 inches (2480×2200 pixels) when unfolded and 6.5 inches (1176×2480 pixels) when folded. There is an OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a touch sampling rate of up to 240Hz, and a pixel density of 424ppi. Under the hood of the foldable smartphone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G SoC coupled with up to 12GB of RAM.

The Huawei Mate Xs 2 foldable smartphone is equipped with a triple rear camera for photography. It features a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 lens, a 13MP sensor paired with an f/2.2 ultra wide-angle lens, and an 8MP sensor paired with an af/2.4 telephoto lens and OIS support. Huawei says the telephoto lens supports 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom. For selfies and video calls, the phone has a 10.7-megapixel sensor paired with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens.

The phone comes with 512GB of storage which is expandable up to 256GB. Connectivity options for the Huawei Mate Xs 2 foldable smartphone include dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, USB Type-C, and NFC. Built-in sensors include gravity sensor, IR sensor, fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor and others. In terms of battery, the vanilla model has a 4600mAh battery with 66W fast charging, while the Collector’s Edition has a 4880mAh battery with 66W charging support.

The Huawei Mate Xs 2 foldable smartphone measures 156.5×139.3×11.1mm when unfolded and 156.5×75.5×11.1mm when folded. The base model weighs 255 grams, while the Collector’s Edition weighs 257 grams.
