How to watch the launch of OnePlus Nord 2 live today

The latest flagship budget phone from OnePlus, the Nord 2, is due to be unveiled today during a live stream. Here are all the details you need to know about.

The first Nord, introduced in mid-2020, was a great device, offering many of the features we would expect from a better phone at a much lower price point. It sits comfortably on our list of the best cheap phones and it seemed like OnePlus is returning to its roots.

The Nord name has now morphed into a brand new OnePlus brand with cheaper devices. We also recently had the OnePlus Nord CE, which is a scaled-down version of the original Nord that will sit next to the Nord 2.

As with nearly all major technology launches in the past 18 months, the Nord 2 will be unveiled virtually. OnePlus is streaming live today (July 22) to unveil Nord 2 at 3:00 pm BST, 7:30 pm IST, and 4:00 pm CEST.

The event is streamed via YouTube and you can look here… We’ll also embed a live link to this page closer to the time.

OnePlus hasn’t said how long the event will last, however, these streaming shows tend to run from 45 minutes to an hour.

The OnePlus Nord 2 is set to be the star of the show and we already know some details about the phone.

The biggest news is that OnePlus has decided not to use a Qualcomm chip for the phone – an integral part of every previous OnePlus device.

Instead, the Nord 2 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 AI chipset. OnePlus hasn’t revealed too much performance information yet, but we know it will be a 5G-enabled chip and a host of AI benefits.

We’ve rounded up all the other leaks, rumors, and news about the phone on our OnePlus Nord 2: Everything You Need to Know page.

The event will also feature a presentation of the OnePlus Buds Pro. Expect more expensive headphones from this brand. Little is known about the buds at this stage.
