Honor X40 series launch date set for September 15th: all the details
The Honor X40 series will launch in China on September 15, the company announced on Tuesday. Aside from the launch date, the company has yet to reveal other details about the upcoming smartphones, including their specs and pricing. Back in October last year, the company launched the Honor X30 Max and Honor X30i based on the MediaTek Dimensity SoC. Recall that the Honor X30 Max is equipped with a 7.09-inch display with Full-HD+ resolution, 19:9 aspect ratio and a waterdrop notch to house the selfie camera.
Shenzhen Smartphone Brand Announced by using Chinese microblogging website Weibo has reported that the Honor X40 series will debut in China on September 15. A teaser poster shared by Honor suggests that the Honor X40 series may have 5G connectivity. The company has yet to reveal pricing information for the upcoming Honor X40 series smartphones.
Recall that in October 2021, the company launched the Honor X30 Max and Honor X30i smartphones in China.
The Honor X30 Max features a 7.09-inch Full HD+ (1080×2280 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and waterdrop notch. The phone is powered by an octa-core MeidaTek Dimensity 900 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM. It features a dual rear camera setup with a 64MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. It has an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front. It packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging.
On the other hand, the Honor X30i features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (1080×2388 pixels) display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch that houses the selfie camera. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC coupled with up to 8GB of RAM. It features a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP main lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. There is an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The phone has a 4,000mAh battery with support for 22.5W fast charging.
