Here’s everything you need to know about the iPhone 13

After all the anticipation and hype, the iPhone 13 finally arrived and was launched alongside a host of other new products such as the iPad and Apple Watch at Apple’s California Streaming event.
This year, the iPhone offers a lot of new surprises, as well as some similarities with the previous generation. It should be noted that physically the iPhone 13 is very similar to the iPhone 12, with the only difference that the iPhone 13 has a smaller notch and a diagonal camera array.

This year’s iPhone lineup is the same as usual, i.e. iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. While the storage for these phones has been bumped up as their storage options range from 128GB to 512GB, the storage option goes up to 1TB for the Pro and Pro Max.

While it might seem like the iPhone 13 is just another iPhone 12 with a few tweaks, it’s actually what’s inside the phone and the features that make it stand out. The iPhone 13 is now equipped with the new A15 Bionic chip, and it offers promising battery life compared to its predecessor. What’s more, since the face ID notch has been reduced by 20 percent, this basically means the notch will take up less screen space.
On the other hand, Apple claims the A15 Bionic chip is more power efficient than last year’s A14. The A15 is a 5nm chip with a 6-core processor, which the company claims is “the fastest processor in a smartphone” and is 50 percent faster than the competition. Plus, graphics are up to 30 percent faster.
Another big update is the screen, which now has a higher refresh rate of around 120Hz, which can go up to 1000 nits. What’s more, for Pro and Pro Max, Super Retina XDR displays are more visible, supporting refresh rates from 10Hz to 120Hz.

When it comes to camera systems, the Mini and iPhone 13 have a dual camera system like the iPhone 12, but the iPhone 13 has a completely new triple camera system. However, all models are said to provide better low-light photography thanks to their respective sensors. On the software side of the camera system, Apple has introduced new photographic style features that are said to work like traditional camera filters, but with a small dose of computational photography. The video features are much more interesting as Apple introduced a “cinematic mode” for all models, which basically automatically focuses on each person and scenario in the video and gives a cinematic feel to the video. Apple even showed examples by showing short films recorded in cinematic mode on the iPhone 13.
The main factor for all of these models was battery life, which Apple claims is 1.5 hours longer than iPhone 12 models. Moreover, all models have more stripes on the sides of the phone, which are said to improve 5G performance. …
The iPhone 13 Mini costs about $ 729, while the regular iPhone 13 costs about $ 829. However, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max are quite expensive and range in price from $ 999 to $ 1,099.
