Google Tensor SoC beats Snapdragon 888, Exynos 2100, Kirin 9000 in GPU benchmarks: report

The Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro launched last week and a fresh report suggests that the Google-developed Tensor SoC that powers both smartphones outperforms Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888, Samsung Exynos 2100 and HiSilicon Kirin 9000 chipsets in GPU benchmarks. These benchmarks, conducted in 3DMark Wild Life, Wild Life Extreme and Wild Life Stress, were posted by a user on Reddit. The Tensor Google Pixel 6 chipset seems to outperform other flagship Android chipsets by decent scores in each of the three tests. It should be noted that these results do not reflect actual performance.

According to Reddit user Greg (u / grt3), he got the Google Pixel 6 early and asked users of the social media platform if they want to know anything. After being asked about the GPU performance of the Google Tensor SoC, Greg tested the smartphone in 3DMark Wild Life, Wild Life Extreme and Wild Life Stress benchmarks.

The Google Tensor SoC is said to have scored 6666 points, delivering 39fps in the Wild Life test and 2028 points at 12.8fps in the Wild Life Extreme test. While in the Wild Life stress test, which lasts up to 20 minutes, it showed the best result in the 2129 cycle and the lowest result at 1193 points with 56 percent stability.

These results indicate that the Google Tensor SoC may be the best Android smartphone SoC on the market in terms of graphics performance, but this information should be treated with a grain of salt as not many reviewers have tested the recently released Pixel 6 series or Tensor SoC. …
