The Google Pixel 6a is rumored to be in development and a fresh report suggests some key specs for the upcoming mid-range smartphone. It is reportedly getting the same Tensor SoC as the recently launched vanilla Google Pixel 6. The report also mentions the cameras that will be featured on the Google Pixel 6a. Its rear camera module is said to have the same design as the Google Pixel 6, as seen in some renders posted earlier this week. The Google Pixel 6a will replace the Google Pixel 5a 5G and may launch in India.
According to a 9to5Google report, Google’s upcoming mid-range smartphone – the Google Pixel 6a – will be powered by the Google Tensor GS101 SoC that sits under the hood of the Google Pixel 6. The smartphone is expected to receive flagship features such as Google Assistant Voice Dialing, Live HDR and translations. on the device.
In addition, the report also states that the upcoming Pixel 6a dual rear camera will feature the 12.2MP Sony IMX363 sensor that has been used in every Google smartphone from Pixel 3 to Pixel 5a 5G.
If true, it will change the trend that the Pixel A-series has been following until now. All Pixel A smartphones from Pixel 3a are equipped with a camera sensor of the corresponding flagship series.
