Google Pixel 6a Specs Published Via Geekbench Listed With Google Tensor Chipset

Google Pixel 6a specs have surfaced online. The supposed successor to the Pixel 5a has been spotted on Geekbench. The listing shows the processor, RAM and operating system that are expected on the upcoming smartphone. The smartphone was previously mentioned in a coloring book sent by Pixel Superfans in January. The Pixel 6a was also recently introduced in black, green, and white with up to 128GB of storage. Google has yet to officially reveal any details about the Pixel 6a.

According to rumors, the Google Pixel 6a smartphone was spotted in Geekbench list from MySmartPrice, assuming the smartphone will be powered by Google’s own Tensor GS101 SoC. The chipset features two high-performance Arm Cortex-X1 cores, two high-performance Cortex-A76 cores, and four efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.80GHz, 2.25GHz, and 1.8GHz respectively. The listing shows the Pixel 6a has 6GB of RAM.

According to the Geekbench listing, the Pixel 6a should run Android 12 out of the box. It says the smartphone scored 1,050 for single core and 2,883 for multi-core, matching the scores of the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. It’s worth noting that the listing of smartphones mentions the codename “bluejay”, which was spotted in the US carrier’s backend inventory system along with the Google Pixel Watch earlier this month.

In November, a report suggested that the Pixel 6a could have a dual camera setup with the 12.2-megapixel Sony IMX363 sensor found in all Google smartphones from the Pixel 3 to the Pixel 5a 5G. The smartphone also features a 12-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera with a Sony IMX386 sensor, as well as an 8-megapixel selfie camera with a Sony IMX355 sensor.

As mentioned earlier, the reference to the Pixel 6a was last mentioned in a gift sent to Pixel fans. The smartphone was mentioned in the list of recommended products, in a coloring book sent out to users. Google has yet to officially reveal details about the smartphone, from specs to launch date. Meanwhile, leaker Max Jambore revealed in January that the Pixel 6a and Pixel Watch could debut during Google I/O 2022, which is usually scheduled for May.
