Complaints about Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro

Last November, it was reported that the fingerprint recognition sensor of the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro is failing for users who completely drain their smartphone battery.

In the same month last year, it was also reported that the phone’s fingerprint sensor was slow and crashed frequently for users. In response to the complaint, Google said, “The Pixel 6 fingerprint sensor uses improved security algorithms. In some cases, testing these additional protections may take longer or require more direct contact with the sensor.”

Google responded to the complaints in an update in mid-November last year, but limited it to certain carriers in the US and Japan. The update was aimed at improving the unlock process with an in-display fingerprint recognition sensor.
