Get Oral-B iO9 for a third of the suggested retail price

We spotted a really fantastic deal on the Oral-B iO Series 9. Until recently, this was Oral-B’s flagship toothbrush, with a suggested retail price of £500. But you can get it for just over a third of that price today – and you don’t even need a Prime membership. Unfortunately, it is only available to UK readers. If you’re in the US, the best price we can find is $239.99 on Amazon, compared to the list price of $329.99.

Prices for electric toothbrushes in the UK are wild. Brushes have a Recommended Retail Price (RRP) that often doubles their cost. They will then go on sale at “half price”, which seems like a huge discount but isn’t really.

While the iO9 has a suggested retail price of £500, we don’t think you should ever pay that much. £250 is the standard price you should buy it for, but if you do, don’t think you’re getting a big discount.

Right now, Oral-B iO9 is on sale at “half price sale” at Boots (see screenshot above) and £323 from Oral-B. But, as we explained, this is not a deal at all.

However, we found a really good offer. Right now you can buy the Oral-B iO9 for £186 on Amazon. That’s a real savings of £64 over the lowest regular price.

This deal comes in Rose Quartz. Be aware that since Oral-B only makes black or white iO heads, only the rose quartz handle. In essence, you will get a two-color brush.

We rate the Oral-B iO Series 9 as one of the best electric toothbrushes we’ve tested. It has impressive brushing performance, a fun full color OLED screen, as well as state-of-the-art smart features that will give you real-time feedback. The battery life is (roughly) two weeks, but it comes with a magnetic fast-charging dock that will let you charge it up to 100% in three hours. This is a great feature as Oral-B has a standard charge time of 12 hours.
