Does the iPhone 13 have a 120Hz display?

Apple came to us live from Apple Park in California for September. triggering an event

The biggest announcement of the night was without a doubt the iPhone 13 series, which brought with it the rumored 120Hz display. But which models are getting it?

Read on to find out everything there is to know about ProMotion on the iPhone 13 series.

Does the iPhone 13 have a 120Hz display?

It depends on which model you are looking at.

Both the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro have 120Hz displays. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini don’t have that.

The release of a 120Hz phone was Apple’s first because, unlike many Android manufacturers, the company has yet to release a phone with a display greater than the standard 60Hz.

Not only are the Pro models equipped with 120Hz displays, they are adaptable, which means they don’t drain your phone’s battery when not needed, as they can with a fixed high refresh rate.

During the event, Apple announced that “the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are the most advanced display on an iPhone, Super Retina XDR with ProMotion, which supports adaptive refresh rates from 10Hz to 120Hz for higher frame rates when users need them. and extending the life of the batteries when they don’t. ”

All this became possible thanks to the ProMotion screen technology, which before this announcement could only be found in the top-end Apple iPad Pro tablet.

While the standard 60Hz screen refreshes 60 times per second, ProMotion allows the phone’s display to refresh twice as fast at 120 times per second. This provides smoother scrolling, faster gameplay, and improved responsiveness for better display performance.

The technology was launched back in 2017 on the iPad Pro and has since appeared in new generations, but hasn’t gone beyond high-end tablets so far.
