Chinese OEM says it’s testing a 240W charger that could leave Vivo and iQoo behind

Recently, iQoo received information about the development of the iQoo 10 Pro based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. This phone is rumored to support 200W wired charging. Vivo may also be working on bringing a new flagship device to the market that supports 200W wired charging. A well-known whistleblower suggests that these smartphones may have already been abandoned by the Chinese OEM. Tipster did not reveal the name of the manufacturer, but suggests that the charger is already in trial production.

According to mail An unnamed Chinese OEM is testing a 240W charger (24V/10A), according to a Digital Chat Station tipster. The leaker previously speculated that Vivo might be working on a new flagship smartphone with support for 200W fast charging. This phone is said to support 20V/10A fast charging as well as backwards compatibility with 120W, 80W, and 66W charging speeds. Vivo recently launched [Vivo X80] a series of flagship smartphones. The top Vivo X80 Pro is equipped with a 4700 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging.

Another smartphone manufacturer trying to deliver next-generation charging speeds is [iQoo]. According to a past report, the company is developing the iQoo 10 Pro, the successor to the iQoo 9 Pro, which was launched in India in February this year. This phone is speculated to offer 200W fast charging as well as 50W or 60W wireless charging support. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC is expected to be installed under the hood. iQoo is expected to launch this phone sometime this year between July and September.
