Can the Galaxy S22 impress?

OPINION: Samsung has a huge portfolio of smartphones, from the best Android phones to innovative foldable and even cheaper options.

Over the past 12 months, we’ve seen some impressive S21 devices, a duo of great foldable devices, and more A series devices than we can count.

But what is the Korean giant preparing for 2022? Let’s take a peek into our technology crystal ball and see.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE kicks off the new year

If rumors are to be believed, it is quite possible that the first smartphone will be released by Samsung in 2022. This release seems to be out on the eve of CES 2022 and will be for the Galaxy S21 FE.

The Galaxy S20 FE arrived in August 2020 and we expected its sequel to arrive at the same time in 2021. However, this did not happen, and rumors ensued of a delay in the release of the device, with some even suggesting that it was completely canceled.

We’re happy to announce that this is no longer the case, and the Galaxy S21 FE should offer the compressed S21 experience in a smaller form factor.

Leaked specs include Snapdragon 888, 5G chipset, multi-camera array on the back and OLED display on the front. Also, expect it to arrive in a variety of colors and will be available fairly soon after the announcement.

We certainly have high hopes for the S21 FE as we absolutely love the S20 FE. The verdict of our review of this phone was: “I can’t say enough good things about the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, and if you want a phone that looks a lot like a flagship without spending over £ 699, then this is the best currently on offer.

Samsung Galaxy S22 series launches in February

After the appearance of the S21 FE, you won’t have to wait long for Samsung’s big flagship. The leaks point to a February date for the alleged release of the Galaxy S22, and it doesn’t look like it’ll be just one model.

Like earlier this year, Samsung is expected to release several versions of its new flagship – the regular S22, the larger Plus model and the top-of-the-line Ultra.

Most of the leaks we’ve seen so far are from the Ultra model. One leak suggests the phone will use the same 108MP sensor as its predecessor, while another says it will have the brightest display.

Two versions of the smartphone have been found in the Geekbench benchmarking app. One variant is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and the other is powered by the Exynos 2200 SoC.

It also looks like the Ultra will bear some resemblance to the now outdated Note series thanks to a hopper in the device that will hide the S Pen stylus.

As far as conventional S22 devices go, we’ve seen a few hands-on shots showing the glossy finish on the rear and some of the specs expected.

According to leader Ice Universe, both the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus will feature the same triple-sensor camera system. This will be associated with a 50MP wide sensor and an f / 1.8 aperture.

The leader claims the Samsung Galaxy S22 will have a 6.06-inch display while the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus will have a 6.55-inch screen. This is less than the Samsung Galaxy S21 (6.2 inches) and Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus (6.7 inches).

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 will be released in several versions

Despite the fact that Samsung doesn’t have many competitors, Samsung makes some of the best Android tablets out there. We have been huge fans of the Galaxy Tab S7 and have been looking forward to its release for months now. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like its release is just around the corner.

One leak said there would be three models: Tab S8, Tab S8 Plus, and Tab S8 Ultra. Given that Samsung uses a similar naming scheme for its phone lineup, this hardly comes as a surprise.

The big difference between the models comes down to size: the Tab S8 is expected to have an 11-inch LCD, the S8 Plus will have a 12.4-inch OLED display, and finally the Tab S8 Ultra will come with a 14.6-inch display. inch OLED screen.

14.6 inches is a very large size for a tablet, and it looks like this particular version will have a notched screen – just like the iPhone 13.

How far can foldable items go

There have been many leaks on the above three products, but now we are entering more uncharted territory.

By the end of the summer, Samsung began rolling out new foldable phones, and given how good the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 were, it doesn’t take a lot of imagination to expect the Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 to come out. arrive next.

Samsung’s innovation in foldable phones has skyrocketed over the past few years, so hopefully they’ll push this category forward again.

I would like to finally see a foldable with a flagship camera and less creases in the middle of the screen.

A common variety of A-Series devices for every budget

Samsung doesn’t just service high-end phones, in fact, some of its most popular phones are in the wide A-Series. Expect several A-Series models to receive updates throughout 2022 with more advanced features like a 5G display and 120Hz.
