Apple to Limit Wi-Fi 6E Connectivity to iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max Models: Report

The long-awaited iPhone 15 series of smartphones is expected to be released later this year. The lineup is expected to include the base variants of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, as well as the high-end iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max or iPhone 15 Ultra. According to MacRumors report, Wi-Fi 6E connectivity will be limited to high-end variants of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. On the other hand, a previous report suggested that Wi-Fi 6E support would be available across the entire iPhone 15 lineup. According to the report, base iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models will continue to use Wi-Fi 6.

The Cupertino-based company currently offers Wi-Fi 6E connectivity for several of its products, such as the 2023 MacBook Pro 14-inch, 2023 MacBook Pro 16-inch, iPad Pro 11-inch (4th generation), iPad Pro 12.9 inches (6th generation). generation) and Mac Mini (2023). Wi-Fi 6E uses the 6 GHz bands in addition to the commonly used 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands.
