Amazon Prime now has an ad-free alternative to Spotify Free

Amazon Music has always been part of the Prime subscription, but with a limited catalog of two million songs. That sounds like a lot, but it’s only a fraction of the $100 million you’ll get if you pay separately for Amazon Music Unlimited.

However, Prime subscribers in the US, UK and other parts of the world can now stream all 100 million songs and a range of podcasts at no additional charge.

But there is one catch. The streaming service works just like the free version of Spotify. This means songs can be played in shuffle mode: you can’t ask Alexa or select in the Amazon Music app exactly which song you want. Instead, you can select a genre, artist, or album to shuffle.
