All Echo Studio owners get a great free update

Amazon may not be releasing the next generation of its high-end Echo Studio speakers, but current owners are expecting some new audio software updates to be released at no additional cost.
The standout feature is a new spatial audio processing technology that is designed to enhance stereo sound and create a more immersive sound experience. Amazon claims this mimics a Hi-Fi stereo system, so the vocals are more present in the center and the instruments are clearer on the sides.
This should lead to crisper and more colorful music, as well as a more cinematic experience for movies and series.
In addition, Amazon is also adding frequency extension technology, which should boost performance levels, improve midrange clarity, and deepen bass.
But that’s not all – Amazon is also releasing a Glacier White color option for the Echo Studio. Like the black version, it costs $199.99.
Pre-orders for the white Echo Studio open today, with speaker shipments starting next month. Amazon has also unveiled a host of other new products, including the Amazon Kindle Scribe, the 3rd generation Fire TV Cube, and the new Halo Rise sleep tracker.
