5 things we expect from the Samsung Unpacked event

Samsung has announced that the Unpacked event will take place in February., and this five key things we expect to announce – and unfortunately, it’s not all good news.
It’s official – Samsung will host an Unpacked event in February where we expect the company to showcase the latest and greatest of its tech products. Here are the top five things we expect to see on this big day, so stay tuned to see what’s in store for us.
The advent of the S22 series

Unsurprisingly, the highlight of the event will be the debut of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series of smartphones. Hoping to establish itself as the best among Android smartphones, the lineup is supposed to have three models – Standard, Plus, and Ultra – and updates this year are rumored to include a new main camera sensor and a new chipset (But more on that later… )
Possible price increase
Did you think these improvements would be free? Well, I have bad news for you…
The S22 series is rumored to be subject to significant price increases. The source above lists a $50 increase for the base model and $100 for the Plus and Ultra, while a Twitter leaker @chunvn888 hinted that the S22 Ultra could cost up to $1,299.
At the moment we don’t have hard evidence of a price increase, but don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Restoring the built-in S-Pen

When the Galaxy Note line was discontinued back in 2019, the same fate befell the built-in S-Pen. Yes, the stylus reappeared as an optional extra with the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, but the lack of a secure slot to hide in meant it was more of a nuisance than a welcome.
According to recent hints, including some left by Samsung itself in editorial before the event — it looks like the built-in S-Pen is ready for a triumphant return.
The world’s first 4nm chipset from Samsung

Since the announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Samsung has also entered the 4nm club with its own brand of Exynos 2200. What makes it particularly special is that it is the world’s first mobile chipset to support ray tracing. this means that light can be recreated as accurately as possible in video games and the like.
European customers will likely get the Exynos 2200, while US buyers might get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 instead, but early indications show the chipsets offer somewhat similar specs.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Tab

Last but not least, we are looking forward to the announcement of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8. Little is known about the 2020 Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 sequel, but it’s believed the lineup could have a massive 14.6-inch Ultra version, along with the same latest mobile chip technology found in the S22 series.
