4 things we want the iPhone 14 to have

The iPhone 13 family of phones has finally launched, and Apple raised the lid on the flagship lineup at its digital live event in September 2021.

And while there are many things to worry about, the iPhone 13 still has a few missing features that we would like to see in a future version.

Here are four essential features we want Apple to add to its flagship phone lineup in 2014.

Variable refresh rate screen on each model

Variable refresh screens are becoming more and more common in the specs of most flagship phones, and we all support this trend.

Based on our experience with high-end phones like the Galaxy S21 Ultra, OnePlus 9 Pro, and Oppo Find X3 Pro, the technology offers a number of amazing benefits. Chief among these are improved overall scrolling, smoother gameplay, and increased battery life.

That’s why we were happy when Apple finally adopted it. Back side? It is only available on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Given the fact that the technology has already begun to trickle into the mid-range Android market, this makes it a key omission for Apple’s cheaper iPhone 13s.

Hopefully the company fixes this issue on iPhone 14 and downloads all versions, including non-professional models with VRR screens.

Give up the notch

Another big disappointment? While Android phone makers have experimented with a number of ingenious designs to remove the notch on the camera body, Apple has decided to keep the design.

Rather than trying a hole punch, sub-screen design, or Asus-style flip-up front camera design, Apple has kept a large, chunky notch at the top of every iPhone, taking up valuable screen space that isn’t really needed these days. and age. USB C

It may not be the most obvious development, but the widespread adoption of USB C as a common standard for everything from phones to tablets to laptops has been one of the best advances in consumer technology for some time. This is why it’s so annoying that apart from premium MacBooks and iPads, Apple has refused to adopt a standard for its phones. Despite the obvious benefits to customers, it still loads its phones, including the iPhone 13-line, with its own lighting port.

Hopefully Apple changes from the iPhone 14 and finally moves to a much more convenient USB standard. However, this seems unlikely, especially with rumors of a completely portless iPhone.

Improved scalability

In the smartphone world, camera technology is the current battleground, with every company trying to earn a spot as the best camera phone year after year.

This year, Apple has decided to focus on enhancing the iPhone 13’s video recording capabilities with the new Cinematic Video mode. While this is great for any young TikToker user or video blogger, it would be better for us Apple to go in a different direction, in particular by improving the scalability of phones.

The iPhone 13 Pro currently offers 3x optical zoom, which is a slight improvement over the iPhone 12 Pro. This puts it well behind key competitors such as the Galaxy S21 Ultra, which uses a periscope lens to dramatically improve zoom shots.
