In the recent video, Dr. Pimple Popper helped a woman with a lipoma, a fat mass, in her bicep.
To begin with, cut through the center of the growth with a surgical blade after injecting the area with an insensitive solution outside the chamber.
A lipoma is a growth full of fat that is found between a person’s muscle layer and the skin layer. Typically, the lipomas grow slowly and are quite small – about 2 inches in diameter, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Lipomas are encapsulated in a sac just below the surface of the skin, which often allows it to “stick out” of the skin in a single squeeze, Drs. Pimple Popper explained in the description of a previous video.
Immediately after Lee finished making the incision, faded and white lipoma was revealed. He then used his gloved fingers and scissors to loosen the lipoma from the inner walls of the patient’s skin.
Dr. Pimple Popper also used his fingers to squeeze both sides of the incision and push the lipoma to the surface. Soon, an amorphous patch of fat protruded from the skin cavity, even though it remained connected to the patient by a piece of tissue.
After verifying that he removed all the pieces of lipoma, Dr.Pimple Popper used surgical stitches to close the incision.
According to Lee, the patient’s post-surgical recovery should be painless because he removed the lipoma from a fat area, rather than near the muscle, which can be more tender.
