Sutter Health appoints Mark Sevco as Chief Operating Officer

Sutter Health has appointed Mark Sevko as its chief operating officer, the integrated non-profit healthcare system announced Friday.

Sevco, which is president of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Hospitals in its Health Services division, will join the 23-hospital system in Sacramento on June 5. President and CEO Sutter Warner Thomas has also served as acting chief operating officer since joining the organization. December. Sutter reported $278 million in operating profit on $14.77 billion in operating revenue in 2022, compared to $199 million in operating profit on $14.23 billion in operating revenue in 2021. In 2022, the company lost $578 million of investments.
