St. Joseph Mercy hires Benjamin Miles to be president of Chelsea Hospital.

On Monday, Saint Joseph Mercy Healthcare announced the hiring of Benjamin Miles as president of St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea.

Miles succeeds Nancy Graebner-Sandling, who left the Trinity Health joint venture last week after 10 years in the role. Miles joins the healthcare system on April 18th.

Most recently, he served as President of Health Insurance Services and Chief Advocacy Officer of Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, Indiana. John Providence Health System in various leadership roles including director of practice management.

“Ben has a proven track record as a results-driven healthcare leader with expertise in strategy, operations, process improvement, project management and finance,” Shannon Stribich, senior vice president of operations at Trinity Health Michigan, said in a press release. . “He is an eloquent, effective communicator, able to translate complex concepts clearly, which will help build understanding and consistency throughout our Chelsea hospital.”

Miles received an MBA from Walsh College and a BA from Wayne State University.
