Actor Miles Teller has reportedly ditched the COVID-19 vaccine and has now “brought the virus to the set” of his new TV show, The Proposal. according to the Daily Mail report.
The Proposal, a Paramount + series that tells the behind-the-scenes story of The Godfather, was filmed in Los Angeles, California. Deadline reported that the show was suspended last Sunday. after someone has tested positive for COVID-19. A source “close to the show’s executive team,” told the Daily Mail that the test came from Teller.
“Miles Teller is not vaccinated. It won’t even pass the test, ”a source told the Daily Mail on Friday. “Now he brought the virus to the set and the whole complex had to shut down.”
The Daily Mail also reports that Teller’s spokesman told the publication that his “facts are wrong” but declined to elaborate further.
“Out of caution, we temporarily halted production of the Proposal due to a positive coronavirus test during routine testing,” a Paramount + spokesman said. said Deadline earlier this week. “We will continue to adhere to all security protocols and monitor the situation closely.”
Paramount + officials declined to comment further.
Teller, 34, is best known for his role in the 2014 drama The Whip, as well as in the Divergent film franchise. He has already completed filming for the sequel Top Gun (titled Top Gun: Maverick), which is slated to premiere in May 2022 after several delays.
The Proposal is based on “the experience of Oscar-winning producer Albert S. Ruddy.” according to Variety. Teller will play Ruddy, Matthew Goode will play The Godfather producer Robert Evans, and Dan Fogler will play director Francis Ford Coppola.
