Kehlani warn its 2.2 million TikTok followers for “stop traveling and get bad resin veneers” on June 28th.
The singer said that getting resin veneers would leave them with teeth too white, too square, and that they would need expensive dental work to repair.
“It’s good and fast but the amount of long and expensive dental work you will need after going down this road is five or six times the amount,” Kehlani said in a TikTok video.
According to Kehlani, this excludes the additional cost of the trip you will pay if you go abroad to get your package at the price, which is another common trend among the microinfluencers of social media.
“If you’re going to get them, you’re going to have to travel a lot to fix them,” the singer added.
They say the veneers have been a “pain” for three years before she was able to have them redone professionally.
Composite implants cause less damage to your teeth than crowns, but they can also be dangerous when damaged.
Insider reported earlier Composite veneers are designed to be a minimally invasive way to improve discoloration, imperfections, and decay on the tooth. Most require only half a millimeter of the tooth to be shaved before a cap made of resin or porcelain can be attached.
Many influencers are flying abroad to get sets of crowns at a good price, full of thinking that they are veneers, which can quickly kill a whole tooth.
While they don’t grind as much of your teeth as poorly made crowns, cheap-made resin veneers can also cause damage to your smile and gum health over time.
Kehlani said they were unable to access their gums to use the thread or clean them properly when they had the blisters, having a negative impact on their overall health.
“It’s your mouth, and when you have problems in your mouth, it can lead to disease in your body,” Kehlani said.
